Lean Strategy Deployment

True North

Lean Strategy Deployment (LSD), also known as Hoshin Kanji (True North), is a management technique that originated in Japan and is widely used in many organizations around the world. It is a strategic planning and execution methodology that helps align an organization's goals and resources with its strategic objectives.

At its core, LSD is a process of creating a shared vision of the future, defining strategic objectives, and then aligning the organization's resources and actions to achieve those objectives. It involves a cyclical process of planning, implementing, monitoring, and adjusting plans as needed to ensure that the organization is making progress towards its goals.

By following the Lean strategy Deployment methodology, organizations can better align their resources and actions with their strategic objectives, and ultimately achieve greater success in reaching their long-term goals.

The LSD methodology typically involves a number of steps, including:

  1. Establishing a clear and compelling vision for the future of the organization.
  2. Identifying the key strategic objectives that will help the organization achieve that vision.
  3. Developing a set of action plans that outline the specific steps that will be taken to achieve each strategic objective.
  4. Deploying those action plans throughout the organization, ensuring that everyone understands their role in achieving the objectives.
  5. Monitoring progress towards the objectives and making adjustments as needed to ensure that the organization stays on track.
  6. Continuously reviewing and refining the process to ensure that it remains effective over time.
